Ostrad changes it for free. Call for information about that your bike needs a change.
THIS IS ONLY RIGHT FOR OLD BIKES! The newer bikes have a new fastening (black anodized).
The new fastening connects the seat more stronger to the main frame tube and is easier to handle. Now the fastening is only single component - clamp plus four thread sockets for seat bonding.
The AMP fork has small bearings which can become unround reported by bike messengers and magazins. I can see nothing on my fork after five years. But I changed the oil of the damper once (you need special tools!) There is a new version of the AMP fork for downhill biking with more suspension depth, but not for Ostrad.
Who wants to go really fast need a good condition and a different chainring. With the original 32 tooths I gone only on the smallest sprockets and muscles didn't want to work for me at so high rotation frequencies. You have to experiment and to calculate.
The elastomer is guided by an axle. This axle grinds on the upper holder of the axle - you get an elliptical hole.
Extremely important! The carrier must be mounted in the top position (Rotate the small pieces of sheet metal, which hold the carrier to the top.) I destroyed the mudguard. The carrier with baggage hit the mudguard hard as I gone through a pothole. And try to buy a single 20" mudguard!
The rear chain is only a little bit longer than on a normal bike. But you change the gears essential more often than on a normal bibike and brutal forces are working with sense, so the back chain becomes worn quickly. Change periodical (every half year or three quarter of a year)!
